Whenever I see a Sketchbook Pro sketch, especially product design sketches, I think to myself: Long live markers and paper. This looks cool and dynamic, but your marker sketches trump any of your SBP sketches.

I agree 100%, but I gotta practice other stuff too. :-) I have a hard time giving up markers and paper myself. There's just something magical about it.

You sid it – - Magic. That's what happens with Marker sketches. Magic. LOVED today's cordless drill! You'll soon be a feature at my college Design Drawing Classes. When I first started using markers, we had to make do with the 80's books like Kemnitzer's, which are great sources, but the examples in it just look dated.

My Drawing professor once joked about how many times she'd seen that red hairdryer marker rendering over time, in its 1983 cylindrical glory! Students learn from the book, but hit a wall when they try to translate the theory to modern products. Your site offers a contemporary resource for the ones who are learning and improving today.

I'm not a media publisher, but if I were I'd be all over you to publish a book/dvd (or e-book / movie download) focused on ID sketching, because that'd be what all college kids want. Seeing someone draw makes wonders to your own abilities, simple as it may sound.

Well, that was a long comment. I'd love to chat with you about ID, sketching and teaching, but that'd better be over some beers or videogames, or both. If you ever find yourself down here in Brazil, be sure to drop me a line!
